Connecting Change Makers Around the World Working for Justice and Fairness for Children, Youth and Families
October 2 - October 5
This Call-to-Action Conference is part of a growing global movement to bring radical, actionable and lasting change to the way child welfare systems work. It provides an exceptional opportunity to make international connections, curate new ideas, be inspired to create change, and learn about indigenous, family-led and professionally designed innovations, approaches, research and practices. While the conference typically occurs the first week of October every year, the community support and learning network extends throughout the year. Supplementing the conference video archive which is available to participants for three months following the event are monthly Radio Kempe podcasts and our Collaboratory model, where those interested in solution building on discreet challenges partner toward solutions over many months.
The Kempe Center is excited to host the 2023 International Virtual Conference: A Call to Action to Change Child Welfare. We will reconvene and expand the international community of practice with an expected 3,000 participants from 25 countries.
This conference is part of a growing global movement to bring radical and lasting change to the way child welfare systems work. It unites practitioners, policy and law makers, academics, children and young people, families and communities in an agenda for real change.
Bringing the best and most innovative ideas about changing practice, relationships, systems and institutions, it seeks to motivate, educate and inspire change-makers around the world. Sharing ideas, information, creating lively inclusive debate and making new international connections is at the heart of this event.
