The Learn to Identify & Fight Trafficking (LIFT) training provides education for healthcare providers on how to identify and assist patients that have been trafficked, and includes what is considered essential information for health care professionals to know about human trafficking, including labor trafficking, sex trafficking, and the commercial sexual exploitation of children. This presentation was created by the American Medical Women’s Association and Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans (AMWA-PATH) with input by physicians, social workers, nurses, medical assistants, survivors, medical students, and legal advocates who specialize in assisting victims and survivors of human trafficking, and is directed toward health-professional students who are not seeking continuing education credit.
